What Tab Steward stores
Tab Steward stores extension data on your device using Chrome storage, including tab titles, URLs, favicons, domains, timestamps, archive entries, archive notes, archive groups, protected domains, domain-specific stale rules, and extension settings.
How data is used
This data is used only to provide Tab Steward's tab review, archive, restore, snooze, grouping, notes, protected-domain, domain-rule, and settings features.
Why tab access is required
Tab Steward needs tab access to review currently open tabs, detect stale or duplicate tabs, archive tab titles and URLs locally before cleanup, and restore archived tabs later. It does not read page content.
Data shared externally
Tab Steward does not run analytics and does not send tab metadata, archive entries, browsing history, notes, or settings to a remote server.
External links
The Buy Me a Coffee support link opens an external website only when clicked. That site is separate from Tab Steward and is governed by its own privacy policy.
Remote code
Tab Steward is self-contained and does not load remote JavaScript.
