Need help with Tab Steward?

Tab Steward is intentionally simple and local-first. Most questions are about review timing, protected domains, or archive restore behavior.

Adjust stale timing Open Settings to change how long a tab stays quiet before it enters the review queue.

Protect important domains Use the Protect action on any tab to keep that domain safe from future cleanup.

Restore archived tabs Visit the Archive page to search, browse, and reopen any tab that was previously archived.

Why Tab Steward asks for tab access

Tab Steward needs tab access to review currently open tabs, detect stale or duplicate tabs, archive tab titles and URLs locally before cleanup, and restore archived tabs later.

Tab Steward does not read page content, does not use analytics, does not sell data, and does not send tab metadata to a remote server. Tab data stays in Chrome extension storage on your device.
